Born January 5, 1985 in Long Beach Memorial hospital..
Grew up in athletic family where sports were second nature. Played baseball, basketball, football etc. you name it and i was really into it. Then wheni was 12 years old on a summer day my friends and i decided to give surfing a try. Yea it was a rough start but the challenge of surfing was really intriguing to me and it pretty much stuck like glue. I surfed on a daily basis thanks to my parents because we lived about a 15-20 minute drive to the beach so it wasnt always an easy stroll so when i got down there i would make it count with long sessions to get as good as i could.
After a few years i started to get to a level were i felt like it was time to try and compete. Didnt start out amazing but i still had the love for it even after losing which means alot. Them it was one step to the next and gradually started achieving good results and was beliving this is something i wanna do for a career but knew it was no easy road.
Spent about 5 years on the WQS chasing my dream of qualifying for the WCT which is the most elite of elite. Finally that day came in 2009 where i finished 10th on the WQS and you had to be in the top 15. It was one of the happier days of my life and a huge goal that was checked off the to do list in my career. But then a new list of challenges have arised with being on the WCT. The level is so crazy good that there are no gimmes anymore. But it sure has been an awesome ride... to be continued!!
Finally got some surfing in on the Gold Coast of Australia after being out of the water due to stitches on my foot from a fin gash!
